I was just looking at a used Tuarus RB in .480 that seemed like a good price $545.00 but then after returning home did some checking on them. Ruger as well as Taurus have discontinued production of their handguns in the longer barreled revolvers. I would have thought that this cartridge would have made it in the Handgun Hunting world.

I really wanted a 480 Ruger but had to settle for the 460 when Ruger discontinued the 480. This revolver is a hand full.

Ruger would have been much better off offering a 5-1/2" version than the 9-1/2". If a 5-1/2" version had been made it would have been much more totable in a holster for field carry.
