This article explores the concept and practice of patient advocacy from the perspective of clinical nurses. It presents the findings of a qualitative study that interviewed 23 nurses from different wards of a teaching hospital in Iran. The study reveals the challenges and facilitators of patient advocacy, as well as the implications for nursing education and policy.
