Hello all, recently a forum member had his slide get stuck on the frame/ Fire Control Unit, because the gun was accidentally reassembled without the takedown lever being installed. This is not an uncommon occurrence, but until he put up a post asking how to fix it, I'd forgotten about it being an issue. I tried again to install my slide with the recoil spring not seated correctly. My slide got stuck. I could not move my takedown lever beyond 3'lock. The recoil spring pushed my takedown lever to two o'clock.When I reassembled the lever did not rotate back to the horizontal 3 o'clock position. It is now stuck at 7/5 o'clock. The slide sits about 1/8" from the back end of the frame, but racks ok and can be locked back with the release/catch. Also, can't get the slide off of the frame, now. Can't insert a mag, can't pull trigger fully.

Forum Rules. After reassembling a pair of P365's with Boresite modules, this slide won't go back on the frame. It stops short when hitting g this part of the FCU, which is raised up higher than on my other two FCU's ( which sit just below the frame rails). Takedown Lever won't move in disassembly A couple of weeks ago, I was changing out my grip module to a wilson combat one, which went more or less smoothly. But, my dumb a somehow lost the retention pin spring. So I ordered a new one and put the slide back in place while I waited for it to arrive.

Right, I was having a mental glitch for a second there and forgot that the takedown lever and slide release are on the FCU and not the grip module. A new, full mag is then inserted in the pistol and the slide is pulled to the rear and released to load a fresh round.
