Scythe is great still especially for Ahkka (or whatever) and a few other small things but it's still very niche. The argument between fang & rapier: Rapier is consistent with entry and normal raid levels because no bosses are buffed. It also has a 4T attack speed and a better max hit because it's meant to shread low defense. So it's better there.

Rapier is still BiS for most of melee slayer tasks, while Fang is itemized towards a specific subset of PvM bosses (and a few dragonkin slayer tasks assuming max gear).
