Just run straight to the teleporter and don't complete it until you have the amount of cash you want. Enemies don't spawn fast enough before the teleporter to farm efficiently and they mostly stop spawning ...

They can also be teleporter bosses, so if you are exceedingly (un)lucky, you can get one early with a Mountain Challenge (and possibly the Dissonance Artifact influencing the boss pool). I had one spawn as my stage 4 TP boss. I had a boss encounter (thus unskippable) that was entirely immortal. Just a second before I had melted another scavanger in the same level too. I just spent a good half an hour nonstop shooting The Scavenger, the moment I'd stop my attack his health would skyrocket back to full. Bro is so powerful.
