One thing i noticed about removing items: If you look away from the item after you hit it once, then look back at it, the circle will pop up. Not sure if that works on the shelves but I noticed it earlier today when i had to remove some foundations. Shelves placed on your raft cannot be removed - axes will not break them down if you need to ...I think I'm going to have to rethink the way I made my raft. I'm sitting at the back in the middle with container shelves on each side on 3 raft bases per side. It makes it very hard to see where I'm going. Once you have the hammer, consult your crafting menu "C" and look over what you want to build. You'll need lots of lashings and whatever mats to build your thing, like sticks, metal, or whatever.

I tried to add a container shelf to my raft and I can only build it floating roughly a shelf height above the raft deck. Does anybody else have this issue ?

The Container Shelf is a storage unit in Stranded Deep. It can be placed on Rafts or it can be placed on Foundations and Walls. It is mostly used on rafts because it allows the player to transport large amounts of items across islands. The last container that I found (exp 30.0), I managed to salvage the doors and 2 panels, but then had 3 panels that where sitting at slightly odd angles that I couldnt remove. Disasembling should not give all resources used back. Tyres, barrels, bouys, yes, because they are actually unchanged when used in craft. But we should get back less or much less of wood. And no rope. Since young palms are everywhere, ropes aren`t the issue.
