I'm looking to get a semi-auto AR-10 rifle (maybe 2) for the collection. Was thinking a 308 first and maybe a 6.5 Creedmoor as a second. Currently, I don't have anything this size, and the biggest stuff I have is a KAC SR-15 16" (with another 11.5" upper that I switch out occasionally), my gucci Radian Model 1 14.5", and a DD PDW 300 BLK.DD and LWRC are likely going to be similar, with the nod going to Daniel Defense for customer service and known quality in DI AR's. Overall the build is superior for an ambi charging handle. For AR 15s, Geissele is good to go. For MCXs (AR 180s) the SIG OEM is the way to go. The SIG MCX needs the two hooks that SIG's OEM has with the benefit that you can choose the width you want with two hooks. AR 15 and MCX charging handles are not interchangeable.

Definitely this. If you're going to get a LWRC get their Individual Carbine piston model - for a standard DI go with Daniel. They both good, DD is more standard, lwrc has more features. I can't decide between the 10.3" Daniel Defense and the 10.5" Noveske. Both are chrome lined, cold hammer forged barrels. The Noveske comes with a pinned gas block but the DD is from ADCO so I can have one pinned before it ships. What daniel defense is selling is not a mk12 - it's just a marketing thing to help them sell more guns. Just like their "mk18" and "m4a1" rifles. Why not get the real deal?
