Kill Four Kings before you place the lord vessel. You don't need to place the lordvessel to warp. I've no interest in pvp, and have finished the game before, minus the dlc. Just wondering if there's any small and specific things, such as Logan disappearing to the Duke's Archive, which I might want to be aware of.

If you're into PvP, all you have to do is Dark Hand soulsuck a couple NPCs until they're dry to 10 humanity, warp back to the Abyss and get the Red Eye Orb.The Lordvessel allows instant warping between Bonfires, with caveats: You may only warp to bonfires at which you have already rested. Give it to frampt or the guy at the abyss depends which path you want. You can still warp when the lord vessel is placed at the altar.Maybe if you have the pendant you can move the lordvessel when it's full/empty to the place in the demon ruins.
