The main reason to run Caltrops on dps is AoE Major Breach. The DoT is a nice bonus, and the slow is mostly desired by tanks grouping trash. OP is a necromancer, so they can use Unnerving Boneyard to get AoE Major Breach. I dont know why people suggest using caltrops on a tank. It does not aggro enemies. It deals damage and slows them. Let a stam dps run caltrops. Absolutely run vigor though. I use the igneous shield/vigor heal combo on my tank and its a lifesaver if, for some reason, i cant get heals from a healer.
