55 gallon homemade pontoon boat.
My design concept is using 55 gallon plastic barrels for the chambers lined up like pontoons connected together with a wood or steel frame similar to a floating dock. Then build a manifold from pvc pipe to connect the barrels together and to a blower, check valve and a valve to release the air.
From what I've been able to find out, an average 55 gallon drum has 7.35 cubic feet of volume. We're thinking of using 8 barrels. SO, 8 X 7.35cu ft = 58.8cu ft.Questions or Comments?
