The first three programming classes you'll most likely take are CSE20 (pretty easy), CSE 30 (wayyyyy harder than CSE20), then CSE12- the notoriously hard class that makes 50% of CS students reconsider their major. There's a mix of theory and hands-on classes which is a good balance imo.
