The Mod.2 appears to gain full length vertical ridges, sort of like Glock added on the Glock 42 magazine 33249 when they went from -02 to -03. I never heard of, or experienced the same false lock issues on XD(M), so probably those ridges serve a different function on XD Mod.2.
