If you were to get the X5 as a home defense gun, I would look into vetting the adjustable rear sight for durability. Also, one gear thing with an X5 to keep in mind is holster compatibility. The differences... Striker spring - we know that this is a lighter spring in the Legion. It is not a deal-breaker though, in regards to acquiring one, because the P320 is almost fully charged when in battery. Trigger - Skeletonized and has a slightly different pivot to gain more leverage.
