When to ascend clicker heroes.
To that end, as I found out last night first hand, summoning Ancients early on in your game (and by early on I mean less than 10 ascensions) can really slow down your progress unless you get very lucky on your ancient selection. 40% DPS is hard to beat with the abilities of any of the ancients.
So i've just restarted playing Clicker heroes 2 and I'm really struggling with when to ascend and when to transcend. I ascended once now after completing Star System 1 and I got my first Empyrean Mote yesterday. Before the last update the "rule of thumb" was to transcend when you get about 8-12 Ascension-souls. That should still be right for the first one but after that you look for more AS. Transcending is a bit more complicated than I thought. The general rule is to ascend before transcendbecause any of the Hero Souls you obtain will not count unless you keep ascending. Many recommend to wait until you will get 6-12 Ancient Souls from Transcendence. The only benefit for going above that is to grind for a level for an Ancient.
When to ascend. When you get to zone 130, you will want to level up all your heroes to quite high levels. Press 'T' twice to toggle to the ×25 levels, and go to each hero, levelling them up until the Gold requirement is beyond 1000O or so.
