Jan 27, 2021 · Depends on the map, extinction and gen its far easier to just farm red crystals in volcano or element veins (best maps to craft tek). I play CI so for me i run the element nodes (~20-30 ele) and stop at an obi to run alpha (220 ele) with 19 deinos and a yuty which keeps my base going for a long time. The element you get from a 10k vein takes the same time to convert and has the same loss as element you get from a 50k lol. If you are staying on server purple osds give a lot but you need at least two people. the veins aren't so much hard as they are time consuming. if you are just after element. I would suggest getting 2 element dust gachas. I don't do veins anymore. but mantis are fun to take around, my 94melee mantis with max armor saddle and ascendant sword can chop down a gigas 80k hp in about 40seconds. In the past 3 days on my server, official smalltribes, I have only seen 2 element veins that are bellow 50k health and 0 blue OSD. The changes that should be implemented are; An increase to all event spawns, allow for 3 on the map at once. Reduce spawn chance for higher events such as 50k veins and high colour OSD.

Jun 9, 2021 · My char is level 144 so by speccing into melee damage (and a little weight) I get up to about 1300% melee on my char. We have something like 1.5-2x harvest rate on element. I seem to get around 500 element (plus shards and dust) per vein with the mantis and around 600+ with a mindwipe. But dust is heavy so harvesting it while specced in melee ... We farmed 600 element two days ago with numerous tribes joining in. Would have been closer to 900 element probably without them. But veins are easy and plentiful. People need to stop this “gold rush” mentality on element. It’s not worth that much anymore. I overvalue ingots at this point on extinction.
