I bought this new tool that I saw on instagram @tilebro and @calidadtools . We do a lot of Schluter and Ceramic Jolly profiles to trim around shower niche...The Schluter trim should not be a straight cut; it should slant at a 45-degree angle so that the two adjoining trims lock together at an angle, per Bunnings Warehouse. To do that, instead of cutting the Schluter trim with a straight cut, slant your miter or hacksaw so that the cut ends are sharp points.The most common way to cut Schluter trim is with a wet saw. You run your Schluter profile through the wet tile blade in this method. While this method works quite well, it does leave rough edges (burs) on the cut. With this method, you do not get a clean-cut as you would with, say, a chop or miter saw. Use A Chop Saw And An Aluminum BladeCut in on your wet saw just go slow and make sure your blade is dressed with a dressing stone. Trim the little flares off with a knife then sand the edge with a diamond sanding pad in order to get it smooth.
