At the same time, I went into NVIDIA control panel and disabled "G-Sync" for all applications. I reopened the game, and the screen flickering was gone. Despite the fact that I lost my longest run (8 months in) character due to a crash, I will always advocate FOR speed demon if your build has the point for it. I don't blame the trait, I blame my lack of skill in not properly managing myself.
