I think I generally use a bit less than 80 bombs and 30 mega bombs per visit. In most cases, I craft bombs with iron and gold ores though. Generally, I need to restock iron/gold ores for one day after a visit to the skull cavern, but it's still much better than spending 50k-100k buying bombs. At least 200 on the low end.
