Shoot up and jump in. Roll into a ball and head RIGHT. When you get to a wall, you'll need to regular bomb, but don't sit on the bomb or you'll fall. The floor comes back, but the wall doesn't. Roll through to the Spazer. The other tips for beating the boss are helpful, but you asked about the Spazer, so there it is.
May 25, 2022 · The first room of upper Brinstar. The first room contains five gates. If you're interested in getting the Brinstar map, take the upper left gate first. When you reach a wall, place bombs at it to pass. After getting the map, you'll have to kill all the enemies to leave the corridor. Thereafter, enter the opposite room. Run into this room, lay a Power Bomb to destroy the PB blocks, jump up and collect the e-tank. If you lay the Power Bomb against the block hanging down just left of the e-tank, that will destroy just enough of the PB blocks to open the shaft, allowing you to spinjump against the wall of remaining blocks and make it up easily. There are two barriers that move down from the ceiling and block the path, and I think to get past you need to sprint underneath them before they have time to close.

Super Metroid controls do need mastering. I couldn't wall jump at all as a kid, now I can wall jump off everything. The quicksand can be a pain, but as some one above has said, you need to jump while moving left or right. You can't jump directly upwards out of quicksand.
