Professor Michael Mahan's research concerns the molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis, and immune responses to infection and microbial sepsis. He received his B.S. degree in Biochemistry and M.S. degree in Genetics from the University of California, Davis; and a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Utah.Our lab is part of the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology.
