Power creep and nerfs have made Malistaire much easier. Malistaire was initially balanced to be challenging but doable for a 3 stack of kids to complete in 2008. It's not a surprise that an adult with power crept gear who is overleveled find him easy. People are saying that Malistaire had 100,000 health and punishing cheats.
