Watch this. You want to do the opposite. Make that room super traped with stoony walls Place 200 wood and some wooden buildings Place 75 chmfuel Build 1 Incendiary trap Destroy all infestations. Could be that room is the only one with overhead mountain or you're just getting unlucky.

If one tile in your base has a thin rock roof or an overhead mountain, hives can spawn there and in adjacent rooms. you can deconstruct thin rock roofs and replace them with constructed roofs to prevent this. The zzzzt just happens somewhere along the wiring. And while wires no longer prevent infestations, sleeping spots and animal sleeping spots do. You could just fill everywhere that doesn't have furniture with one of the sleeping spots, and it'll keep you relatively safe.

The only way you are supposed to be able to remove them completely is through the scenario editor at the start of the game. You have to select disable event and find infestation on the drop down menu. Unfortunately that doesn't always work, I have infestations disabled and just got a large infestation event somehow.

This mod only disables the vanilla infestation event which can be done so in Dev mode anyways.
