I just saw a can back yesterday for customer service from 2008- early gate lock m4sd (prior to m4sd-2 in 2010). The owner had over-deflected and bent the spring and lost or damaged the gate. Thats a 14 year old can without baffle strikes. It wasn’t worn out- it had zero baffle strikes or grazes.

So got my new can the other day , went through the normal drill of fitting with peel washers on my AR . About 100 rds into it , It took the can off and ow and behold slight baffle strikes .
