This is the same case for the 3.3/521+ block. A 4.0 and a 503 will not get you into an MD program where the median MCAT is 508-510 (which is the average of many low tier MD programs next year). A 513 MCAT will balance out a GPA of 3.4 where the median GPA is 3.8 in some cases.
