I was set on a 740R and when I priced the 920M it was worth moving to a stronger mower. I want the glide seat and tweets. So end up buying the 930M instead.

Deere made an effort to design the 6110-6120M with a 94.5in wheelbase and sloping hood for a pretty good loader machine. LED package, air seat, nearly all the bells and whistles that the R has. This model 6M is an updated version of the older, 6430 Premium tractor. The 5R is an 88in machine.

Inflation was so bad during the late 1970's that import dealers could sell a foreign tractor 140-160 HP for 20,000 dollars less than the North American tractors. Sure they've come a long way, but never intended yard mowing, just b'hoggin open fields and such. Agreed, big fan of simplicity! Less things, less things can break. 2020 3035D here. It's got about 90 hours on it moving dirt for a driveway and weekly mowings on 7 or so acres with a Woods 84" finish mower.
