If you take one level, you're getting Shield and Hexblade's Curse for a decent nova boost. If you take three levels, you get Pact of the Blade and 2nd level pact slots, which let you cast Goodberry and Pass Without Trace many more times throughout the day.Fighters gets Action Surge and Extra Attack twice.
