Although the drop rate is about 0.5 to 1% per mob, at Lv 90 (even late 85) they are onehits (all less than 10K health), meaning you can kill several within a minute, additionally easily picking up eggs.

While farming Netherwing rep (and in turn, turning in MANY eggs), I noticed my 3000 quest achievement was going up without me actually doing any quests. It turns out Netherwing Egg turn-ins counted towards this achievement. Just an added bonus.

Get them better spawn rate so everyone can get their 1 egg at least!
