Yes they can, by default walls have 100 HP, and every level of carpentry walls get +100 more HP. Zombies, as I said, can brake the wall but there needs to be quite a lot of zombies to do some damage. Also, you can plaster walls what makes them indestructible. Sorry for my engrish.
