you repair them by sitting at a bonfire BEFORE you get the message that it actually breaks. on the game screen, theres a red little bar under the picture of your weapon. thats its durability. you can also use a repair powder. I wish I knew bonfires repaired weapons before I broke 2 of the best ones I have so far.
