This is because it appears the negative trait does not affect the character in any noticeable way, despite its description saying it decreases vision. Due to this, it's a nice +2 point that contributes toward a positive trait.

How does short sighted work? Used a mod to add/remove traits and compared it with Eagle Eye, and it looked like they had the same fade in/fade out?
