The formation of the National Society of Black Engineers Professionals dates back to 1980, when NSBE alumni presented a proposal to the NSBE student membership to include an alumni sector in the organization.

N.S.B.E stands for National Society of Black Engineers. We represent the U.C. Santa Cruz branch of N.S.B.E. N.S.B.E provides an excellent resources, opportunities and community for any individual looking to do well in college. Students of all majors and ethnicity are encouraged to attend.MEMBERSHIP. Joining NSBE offers networking with companies, access to internships/co-ops, career fair prep, and engineering workshops. Our chapter actively engages in volunteering opportunities to give back to our community. Together, we increase the number of responsible black engineers, fostering innovation and dedication to our greater vision.
