Snow owls are argueable the best taming creature, fast, good weight, good stam. If you want you can use crossbow for taming for any creature as long as you have a snow owl. Also you can freeze a creature and build around it a trap. Only terrible ones in late game are ptera and tapejara without tek saddle. Big fan of the standard argent. Quetz with platform saddles can be used to tame other quetz unless they patched it, very useful as well.
