I have the Char-Griller Gravity 980. It is a killer smoker and dead simple to use. I consistently get great cooks off it. Operationally it is very similar to a pellet grill in that you set your temp and a controller driven fan will maintain it for you. I can tell you that the 980 is very solidly built and seems to be well insulated.
