Nov 29, 2019 · For those who aren't familiar with that model, it's a pretty big garden tractor, maybe a bit heavier than the X720. It has a 25 hp Kohler Command air cooled engine, 2 speed hydrostatic transmission, rear pto, rops, hydraulic lift, power steering, car size battery (which is easy to get to).

The Simplicity design is a traditional 4x4 that you can choose to run in 2x4 or 4x4 modes. This is more like the 4x4 system in your average pickup truck. Its a great system and should give you plenty of extra traction when you need it. The info on the 1991 year came from a John Deere website, but it was not specific on when in 1991 the change came. My tractor was built in 1991 and sold in 1992. There is not a bit of green on it that looks like the current JD green. Although not a perfect match, the color looks more like the older JD green.
