Honestly, with the potential fitment issues, it would be best to just buy a built and QC'd KS47 or even buying an upper and lower and an extended or a side charging handle and just deal. In terms of the bolts on KS47's, it's not necessarily the bolt that's the issue. Sort of. I run magpuls, circle10s, and some steels. If whatever upper/lower combo you have has 0 slop with any specific type of mag then others will need to be modified to fit. Out of the box gen1 magpuls and circle10s run fine for my setup. Gen2 magpuls with the metal lug need to have the lug polished. Steels usually need more work.

The KS-47 Gen 2 upper is about 1mm wider than a standard AR upper. It also has things like mag over insertion tabs milled into it and the BCG is machined to run more reliably, so there are a lot of issues you will have to address. The brs47 lower is compatible with the ks47 upper. I got a Gibbs ks47 upper on the brs47 lower and it works. But the lower only works with ak pmags, the follower on other mags sit too low and the ks47 bcg won't strip the the round out of the magazines. Actually this could be true for any of the AK/AR hybrids out there I assume. The CMMG Mutant, M+M and PSA KS47 being they can all take AR configured uppers. Just the bolt and barrels are different. To me this would be the best hybrid platform for 7.62, 5.45 and 5.56 out there. I own a KS47, biggest issue is obviously no LRBHO and no forward charging handle, going back to the AR charging handle every mag sucks. But I do it because I like the reliability of the AK mags over the stanag 7.62x39 mags. This does adress the problem by giving us, at least, a forward mounted charging handle.
