When I reassembled the lever did not rotate back to the horizontal 3 o'clock position. It is now stuck at 7/5 o'clock. The slide sits about 1/8" from the back end of the frame, but racks ok and can be locked back with the release/catch. Also, can't get the slide off of the frame, now. Can't insert a mag, can't pull trigger fully.

Now the take down lever can be rotated past the 5:00 position to the 90 degree position so you can slide the slide back onto the frame. You don't have to remove the fire control unit to do this. More often than not the Takedown Safety Lever is the culprit. It could also be the slide catch lever spring, but first you need to get the slide off to tell.
