The gun is a Savage 24DL De Luxe model. Most of these guns are marked on the right side of the frame as either Model 24-DL, 24B-DL, 24C-DL, 24E-DL, 24H-DL, or 24J-DL. The only exception is the 24B-DL chambered in .22 long rifle or .22 Winchester rimfire magnum over .410 which is marked on the left side of the frame.

Most 99F stocks will look like this if in very good shape: A little bit of extra shine might just mean somebody used a bit of wax or a light coat of tung oil on it at some point, nothing to worry about.
